B1982 Source Voltage High - Module

Circuit Description:
Battery voltage is supplied to the PZM at Connector C1 terminal "B3." The PZM uses this power feed to perform all of its functions. While the PZM is "awake" the battery voltage at Connector C1 terminal "B3" is measured every 300 ms.
DTC Will Set When:
Battery voltage measured at Connector C1 terminal "B3" is more than 15.5 volts for four monitoring cycles.
Action Taken (By PZM):
When DTC B1982 is current Class 2 Loss of Serial Data DTCs will not be set.
DTC Will Clear When:
The Battery voltage is less than 15.5 volts in the next monitoring cycle.
Troubleshooting Hints
1. DTC B1982 may set if the vehicle is connected to a battery charger on "fast" or "boost" charge.
2. Using a scan tool monitor PZM battery voltage display.
^ If voltage displayed is 15.5 volts or less, and DTC B1982 is current, replace PZM.
^ If voltage displayed is 15.5 volts or more refer to Charging System Diagnosis. Charging System
