Wiring Diagram:

Circuit Description:
When a key is inserted in the ignition, contacts located in the ignition cylinder contact the resistor pellet in the key. The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) measures the resistance of the key pellet and then compares it to the one stored in the IPCs memory.

DTC Will Set When:
The presence of this DTC indicates that all three key codes or passwords stored in IPCs memory do not match one another, or are all ones, or all zeros.

Troubleshooting Hints:
1. If any other DTCs exist, diagnose them first.
2. A faulty IPC is the only probable cause if this is the only DTC.
