Starter Inhibit

The Starter Inhibit system is designed to keep the starter from being operated while the engine is running.

When the engine is running, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) sends a Class 2 serial data message to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). The IPC then disables the Starter Enable Relay.
