if the garage door opener system is inoperative, verify the following conditions before performing the garage door opener functional test.

- Verify that the receiver and transmitter are coded the same.
- Verify that the receiver unit has electrical power through the 110V transformer.
- Verify that the device being operated has power.
- check the receiver hook up wiring for damage. Breaks in the wire are usually found under staples, etc., or at connections.
- Check that the antenna is properly installed in the receiver.
