General Information

Many conditions that affect radio operation may be corrected without removing the set from the car. Verify the condition and follow the diagnostic procedure outlined to isolate and correct the condition. Before attempting to diagnose any audio system problems be sure battery is fully charged, if voltage is below 9 volts erroneous diagnosis may result.
1. Verify customer complaint.
2. Refer to: Delco Sound Service Guide (DE SSG) and Dealer Service Manuals; fill out the Service Writer Form provided in the Delco Sound Service Guide (DE SSG).
3. Follow radio service procedures.
4. If technical assistance is required, have all the pertinent information available before placing the call.
