Table D Schematic:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Traction control becomes effective when the drive wheels are rotating faster than the non-drive wheels. Then the EBTCM will reduce the drive wheel rotation by:
- using the serial data line to request the PCM to retard the engine timing,
- using the serial data line to request the PCM to selectively turn off fuel injectors or applying the drive wheel brakes.
Stabilitrak monitors:
- wheel speeds,
- lateral acceleration, and
- the steering wheel position to determine the desired yaw rate and compare it to the actual yaw rate. Stabilitrak~ selectively applies the front brakes to adjust the actual yaw rate to the desired yaw rate.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
It is very important that a thorough inspection of the wiring and connectors be performed. Failure to carefully and fully inspect wiring and connectors may result in misdiagnosis, causing part replacement with reappearance of the malfunction. An intermittent malfunction can be caused by poor connections, broken insulation, or a wire that is broken inside the insulation.
TABLE TEST DESCRIPTION
The numbers below refer to step numbers on the diagnostic table.
2. Checks the Yaw Rate Sensor.
4. Checks the Lateral Accelerometer.
