Hydraulic System: Service Precautions

WARNING:
Air Bag Hazard
This vehicle is equipped with Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR). Failure to follow the precautions could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, otherwise unneeded SIR system repairs. For more information refer, to Airbags and Seatbelts.

Servicing/Overhaul
Certain components in the antilock brake system (ABS) are not intended to be serviced individually. Attempting to remove or disconnect certain system components may result in personal injury and/or improper system operation. Only those components with approved removal and installation procedures should be serviced.

Brake Fluid Hazard
Brake fluid may irritate eyes and skin. In case of contact, take the following actions:
^ For eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
^ For skin contact, wash with soap and water.
^ If ingested, consult a physician immediately.

Aftermarket Wiring
To help avoid personal injury due to poor braking, do not tap into the vehicle's brake system to operate a trailer brake system.
