DTC C1210 Set/IPC Message "Low Brake Fluid", Red Brake Light Illuminated (Replace Brake Fluid Level Switch)
Models:
1996-97 Cadillac Concours, DeVille, Eldorado, Seville
Condition
Some of the above listed vehicles may exhibit a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1210 and have a "Low Brake Fluid" IPC message along with the red
brake light illuminated.
Cause
Condition may be caused by a faulty/intermittent electrical connection within the brake fluid level switch.
Correction
A revised part design to improve internal electrical connections within the switch, P/N 18029762, is now available. All original design parts have been purged from GMSPO stock. Only the new design parts are now available.
