Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the left side cam cover.
2. Remove the right side cam cover.
3. Remove the camshaft for the head being worked on.

CAUTION: Retain the valve lifters so that they can be reinstalled in the same bores from which they were removed.

4. Remove the valve lifter(s) and store the lifters on their camshaft faces so that the residual oil is retained.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the valve lifters into the same bores from which they were removed.
2. Install the camshafts.
3. Install the left hand cam cover.
4. Install the right hand cam cover.
