Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair









Remove or Disconnect
1. Recover refrigerant.
2. Accumulator inlet and outlet fittings.
3. Accumulator retention bolts.
4. Accumulator from mounting bracket.

Install or Connect
1. Accumulator to mounting bracket.
2. Retention bolts.

Tighten
^ Accumulator retention bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb. in.).

3. Inlet and outlet refrigerant lines to accumulator; install new dual O-rings.

Tighten
^ Refrigerant line fittings at accumulator to 24 N.m (18 lb. ft.).

4. Evacuate and charge system.
5. Leak test all refrigerant connections.
