Air Inlet Assembly

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Left and right-side lower sound insulators and courtesy lamps.
3. Lower steering column to ease access to Instrument Panel (I/P) components.
4. Console and instrument panel.
5. Air distributor.
6. Aspirator hose.
7. Antenna lead.
8. Fuel filler door and rear luggage compartment electrical release connectors.
9. I/P wiring harness conduit retaining nuts and pull conduit forward.
10. Windshield defroster assembly and vacuum lines.
11. Acoustic padding retainers and other fasteners in the vicinity of the air inlet assembly.
12. Five air inlet mounting screws.
13. Air inlet assembly.

Install or Connect
1. Air inlet assembly, securing with five screws.

Tighten
^ Air inlet assembly retaining screws to 5 N.m (44 lb. in.).

2. Acoustic padding retainers while putting padding back in its original place; all other fasteners in the air inlet area.
3. Windshield defroster assembly and vacuum lines.
4. I/P wiring harness conduit retaining nuts.
5. Fuel filler door and rear luggage compartment electrical release connectors.
6. Antenna lead.
7. Aspirator hose.
8. Air distributor assembly.
9. Instrument panel and console.
10. Steering column.
11. Left and right-side lower sound insulators and courtesy lamps.
12. Negative battery cable.
