IPC EEPROM
The IPC contains a data storage unit which can save critical data even when battery power is removed. This unit, the Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) is used by the IPC to store
odometer readings, Options settings, manufacturing information and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The EEPROM is soldered into the IPC and can not be serviced separately. The EEPROM will retain its data if battery power is lost.
