Pressure Bleeding

1. Remove master cylinder reservoir cap. Replace with J 35589 bleeder adapter.
2. Charge bleeder to 140-172 kPa (20-25 psi).
3. Connect hose to J 35589 and open the valve on the brake bleeder tank.
4. Raise vehicle and suitable support.

5. Place a proper size wrench over the bleeder valve. Attach a clear tube over the screw and allow the tube to hang submerged in a clear container partially filled with brake fluid.
6. Open the bleed valve at least 3/4 turn and allow flow to continue until no air is seen in the fluid.
7. Close the bleeder valve. Tighten Bleeder Valve to 13 Nm (10 ft. lbs.).
8. Bleeding sequence repeating steps 5 through 7:
a. Left front
b. Right front
c. Left rear
d. Right rear
9. Lower vehicle.
10. Check the brake pedal for "sponginess." Repeat entire bleeding procedure if a low brake pedal or "sponginess" is encountered.
11. Remove brake bleeding equipment from master cylinder.
