Fuel Tank Draining Procedure
DRAINING FUEL TANKWARNING: Never drain or store fuel in an open container due to the possibility of fire or explosion.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
- Fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement.
- Use a suitable hand operated or air operated pump to remove fuel.
NOTICE: If a car is to be stored for any appreciable length of time, the fuel should be drained from the complete system, including injector nozzle(s), fuel pump, all fuel pipes and the fuel tank in order to prevent gum formations and resultant improper engine performance.
