Pump and Reservoir Assembly

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Serpentine belt.
2. Power steering fluid from reservoir.
3. Return pipe from reservoir.
4. Pressure pipe from pump.
5. Pump mounting bolt.
6. Remove pump, reservoir, pulley and bracket assembly from vehicle.
7. Pump and reservoir from bracket.
8. Retaining clips that attach reservoir to pump.
9. Pulley from pump as described in this section.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Pulley to pump as described below.
2. Retaining clips that attach reservoir to pump.
3. Pump and reservoir to bracket.
^ Tighten pump to bracket bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Position pump, reservoir, pulley and bracket assembly into vehicle.
5. Pump mounting bolt to engine.
^ Tighten pump mounting bolt to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
6. Pressure pipe to pump.
^ Tighten pressure pipe fitting to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
7. Return hose to reservoir.
8. Serpentine belt.
9. Fill and bleed power steering system.
