- Enabling the SIR System

INSTALL OR CONNECT
^ Turn ignition switch to "LOCK" and remove key.

1. Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) (3) connector to harness (105) connector.
2. Yellow 2-way connector and Connector Position Assurance (CPA) through the "trap" door in the instrument panel glove box.
3. Yellow 2-way SIR connector and CPA near the base of the steering column.
4. Sound insulator - LH.
5. SIR fuse to engine compartment fuse block.
^ Turn ignition switch to "RUN" and verify that the "AIR BAG" warning lamp flashes 7 times and then turns "OFF". If it does not operate as described, perform the "SIR Diagnostic System Check."

Important: Before doing any service procedures, disabling the SIR system and removal of Inflator Module and Steering Wheel is needed.
