Front Suspension (Commercial Chassis)

^ Tools Required:
- J 9519-E Lower Ball Joint Remover/Installer
- J 35315 Ball Stud Separator
- J 35551 Ball Joint Nut Wrench
- Or Equivalents

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise vehicle and support.
2. Tire and wheel assembly.
3. Road sensing suspension position sensor from lower control arm.
4. Remove cotter pin and hex nut from ball joint stud.
5. Using J 35315, separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
6. Using J 9519-E, press the ball joint from the control arm.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New ball joint into cannel non
2. Using J 9519-E install the ball joint into the control.
^ Tighten ball joint nut to 175 Nm (129 ft. lbs.) plus an additional flat for cotter pin installation.
3. Road Sensing Suspension position sensor to lower control arm.
4. Tire and wheel assembly.
^ Tighten wheel nuts to 190 Nm (140 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower vehicle.
