Line Pressure Adaptor and Gauge Installation

^ Tools Required:
- J 21867-94 Line Pressure Fitting





1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
2. Raise the vehicle and suitably support the vehicle.
3. Install a bar stock into the pressure plug. Remove the Line Pressure Plug.





4. Install J21867-94 using a ratchet box wrench. Tighten the adapter so that the insert hole for the dowel rod is in a 1 o'clock position.
5. Lower the vehicle.





6. Install the dowel rod.





7. Attach a line pressure gage and hose to the dowel rod fitting.
8. Secure the hose in a safe position to avoid damage to the tools and vehicle during the line pressure testing.
9. When you have completed the testing procedure, remove the line pressure gage and hose from the dowel rod fitting.
10. Remove the dowel rod.
11. Raise the vehicle and suitably support the vehicle.
12. Remove J 21867-94 using a ratchet box wrench.
13. Install the line pressure plug.
14. Lower the vehicle.
15. Install the air cleaner assembly.
